We’re expanding our Data team and looking for a **Senior Data Engineer** to serve as our top technical reference, helping design and build the technological foundation supporting our rapid growth. ### **Your role here:** As a **Senior Data Engineer**, you’ll be the guardian of our data infrastructure. Your role goes far beyond building pipelines—you’ll be responsible for defining the technical vision of our platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and high performance. You’ll act as a technical leader (IC—Individual Contributor), influencing not only the Data team but also connecting Software Engineering, Product, and Data Science to create a state-of-the-art data ecosystem. ### **What you’ll tackle day-to-day:** * **Technical Leadership & Architecture:** Design and evolve our data platform architecture on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring it supports Turbi’s exponential growth. * **Event-Driven Architecture (EDA):** Implement and optimize real-time data flows. You’ll lead the transition and refinement of event-based processes, ensuring data arrives where needed, precisely when it happens. * **Building the Foundation for the Future:** Create a robust foundation for Machine Learning models (MLOps) and advanced Analytics, working closely with Data Scientists and Analysts. * **Engineering Excellence:** Develop and optimize complex pipelines (ETL/ELT), consistently applying best development practices (Clean Code, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring). * **Point of Connection:** Identify opportunities alongside Technology and Product teams to ensure data integrity and availability from the source onward. * **Mentorship & Culture:** Promote a data-driven culture and raise the team’s technical bar by mentoring fellow engineers and fostering discussions around emerging technologies and industry standards. ### **What we expect from you:** * **Architectural Vision:** Solid experience building scalable data platforms and deep expertise in **Event-Driven Architecture**, using Message Brokers (Pub/Sub, Kafka). * **GCP Ecosystem Mastery:** Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Datastream, Vertex AI, and Cloud Functions. * **Technical Fluency:** Advanced proficiency in **Python** and **SQL**.
