The Accountability Department serves as a strategic link between accounting, billing, legal affairs, and technical departments, ensuring traceability and integrity of information. **About the Position** ---------------- **Ensure compliance** in the application and accountability reporting of public resources, meeting legal, contractual, and regulatory oversight requirements. **Supervise and guide the team**, ensuring quality, timeliness, and integrity of information. **Coordinate accounting and financial processes**, including year-end closing and publication of financial statements. **Act strategically**, preparing managerial reports, performance indicators, and supporting decision-making. **Represent the department in audits**, providing technical clarifications. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Supervise the team responsible for preparing and analyzing financial and technical accountability reports, ensuring compliance with management contracts, agreements, cooperation terms, and other instruments signed with municipal, state, and federal public entities. * Coordinate the organization, validation, and archiving of documentation substantiating the use of public resources (invoices, receipts, payroll records, bank statements, execution reports, social contribution payment confirmations, etc.). * Monitor accounting entries and analysis related to accountability reporting, ensuring consistency of recorded data and correct linkage to contractual budget lines. * Coordinate year-end accounting closure processes and ensure appropriate preparation and publication of financial statements for contracts, in accordance with applicable regulations and contractual and legal requirements. * Monitor deadlines for submitting accountability reports and financial statements, ensuring compliance with contractual clauses and applicable legislation. * Serve as the liaison between the accountability department and accounting, billing, procurement, legal, and assistance departments, ensuring data traceability and integrity. * Provide technical guidance to the team and implementing units regarding proper use of public resources and fulfilling oversight agency requirements. * Prepare and present managerial reports and performance indicators to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement of institutional control processes. * Represent the department during internal and external audits, providing technical clarifications whenever necessary. * Stay updated on and disseminate to the team legislation and regulations applicable to the Third Sector and public resource management. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Requirements** * Academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences. * Experience: Prior experience in team supervision or coordination; minimum 3–5 years’ experience in accounting routines and accountability reporting, preferably in the Third Sector or institutions partnering with public authorities. * Technical knowledge: Accounting legislation and standards; legislation and standards governing public resource management and the Third Sector; proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate/advanced Excel); familiarity with accounting and financial management systems (ERP); familiarity with accountability and physical-financial reporting platforms is desirable. **Skills and Competencies** * Leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams. * Organization, attention to detail, and focus on deadlines. * Analytical capability for interpreting accounting, financial, and legal documents. * Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with institutional stakeholders. * Proactivity, systemic vision, and negotiation skills. **Additional Information** * Employment type: CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws). * Working hours: 44 hours per week. * Willingness to travel.
