Excel in performing routines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the work area. Perform laboratory technical activities. Collect biological specimens for clinical laboratory tests and transport them to the laboratory. Receive and verify slides and forms, correctly performing staining and mounting procedures for slides, as well as ensuring proper organization of slides and forms for subsequent reading. Archive slides and register forms in the SISCAN system, and enter results into the SMPEP system when necessary. Print signed test results from the mobile unit. Deliver test results to the specialized support center and printed results from the mobile unit—properly logged—to the appropriate department, if required. Prepare a monthly report on the number of tests performed per cost center. Perform other related tasks as needed or at the discretion of the supervisor. Maintain all laboratory equipment in calibrated condition, including entering and interpreting daily quality controls provided by a certified and contracted company. Analyze, on a monthly basis, samples sent by the institution’s contracted company and report results to that company for national-level comparison across all participating laboratories in the network. Possess minimum knowledge of CIQ to ensure tests are properly conducted. Have full knowledge of the location of control samples, as well as their usage technique and interpretation. Report equipment operational status and calibration status during shift handover, without exception. Collect specimens for testing from the sorting bench immediately after labeling of containers by collection staff. Centrifuge containers according to the type of test to be performed. Print work sheets and triage tests for interfacing. Immediately request collection staff to obtain a new specimen upon identifying poor specimen quality—for example, hemolyzed serum. Under no circumstances shall such specimens be used for testing. Repeat and verify biochemistry tests with alarms and alerts indicating abnormalities; such tests must not be printed or sent for verification. Immediately inform the senior professional of highly abnormal test results indicating potential patient health risks, so they may be reported to the on-duty physician. Immediately report to the responsible senior professional present at the time any incidents occurring during task execution that deviate from assigned functions, for appropriate action. Record in the Non-Conformance Logbook any relevant incident not resolved by senior staff, thereby reporting directly to immediate supervision. During shifts: collect specimens, process, evaluate, and release results in SMPEP. Perform internal equipment controls. Calibrate equipment, if necessary. 2512040202181901340
