If you identify with our purpose, let’s imagine and engineer that future together? **Responsibilities and Duties** **Summary Description:** Responsible for overseeing and developing engineering studies and projects for a gold mining production capacity expansion project in Jacobina-BA. Activities span conceptual phases/feasibility studies through to detailed engineering, ensuring proper specification of mechanical equipment, systems, and installations aligned with project premises, applicable technical standards, and organizational standards. **Detailed Description:** * Prepare and review mechanical engineering designs (descriptive memoranda, technical specifications, equipment lists, data sheets, engineering calculation memoranda, piping isometrics, quantity take-off spreadsheets, technical proposals, typical details, mechanical layouts, etc.) for gold processing expansion and new process/equipment implementation projects. * Develop and review technical and economic feasibility studies (CAPEX/OPEX) for new mechanical equipment and systems, including cost-benefit analyses. * Perform interdisciplinary integration among process, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines, ensuring project coherence and adherence to defined premises. * Prepare procurement technical specifications and participate in bidding processes, technical proposal evaluations, and selection of mechanical equipment and service suppliers. * Review and approve supplier technical documentation (drawings, manuals, datasheets, manufacturing reports). * Conduct design reviews, identify deviations, and propose technical solutions to optimize performance and reduce costs. * Ensure application of national and international technical standards (ABNT, ASME, ISO, NR-12, NR-13) during project development. * Support planning and control of scope, schedule, and budget for mechanical engineering activities under responsibility. * Record and disseminate lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Basic Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). * Active registration with CREA (mandatory). * Postgraduate degree, MBA, or specialization in Project Management, Process Engineering, or related fields (preferred). * Solid experience in mechanical engineering projects. * Experience in mining, mineral processing, or process industries (metallurgy, petrochemical, pulp & paper) is a significant advantage. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, SolidWorks or equivalents). * Knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalents). * Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and industrial equipment sizing. * Familiarity with ABNT, ASME, ISO, NR-12, and NR-13 standards. * Advanced Office suite (Excel for list and specification control). * Intermediate technical English for reading standards and supplier documentation (preferred). **Additional Information** **Position Characteristics:** * Employment Type: Regular Office (On-site) * Work Location: Jacobina/BA * Working Hours: 07:00–17:00, Fridays 07:00–16:00 **Benefits Included in this Position:** * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Transportation allowance * Meal allowance * Gympass membership Discounts and partnerships with various educational institutions * At Timenow, we believe in the power of ideas—and even more so, in the ability to turn them into reality.
