We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to assume the position of Fleet Maintenance Coordinator at Mercopampa Transportes. As Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for our vehicles. **Job Objective** Ensure fleet availability and reliability by guaranteeing execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance according to quality standards and ISO norms, optimizing costs and operational performance. **Responsibilities and Activities** * Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of the fleet (trucks, trailers, trucks, vans, and rigid trucks). * Manage vehicle maintenance control and maintenance history. * Negotiate with parts, service, and third-party workshop suppliers. * Ensure inventory control of parts, tires, and consumables, preventing waste and shortages. * Analyze recurring failures and propose improvements to maintenance processes. * Monitor performance indicators (cost per km, fleet availability, MTBF, MTTR). * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, applicable legislation, and internal standards (ISO, where applicable). * Coordinate internal teams and external service providers. * Prepare managerial reports on maintenance costs, productivity, and performance. * Support internal and external audits related to maintenance and vehicle safety. * Ensure fleet compliance with legal requirements (tachograph, inspections, ANTT, etc.). **Job Requirements** * **Education:** Technical or Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Heavy and light fleet maintenance * Automotive parts and mechanical systems knowledge * Maintenance planning * Cost and performance indicator management * Safety and quality standards (ISO, where applicable) * **Experience:** * Prior experience in fleet maintenance coordination or supervision * Experience in transportation or logistics sectors is a plus * **Behavioral Competencies:** * Leadership and team management * Negotiation skills * Organization and planning * Decision-making ability * Clear and objective communication * Results orientation and cost reduction focus * Proactivity and sense of urgency * **Working Conditions:** * Work environment combining operational and administrative settings * Possible travel for external maintenance oversight.
