The professional will be responsible for coordinating with the local protection network for case referrals, working collaboratively to ensure high-quality implementation of activities in accordance with institutional planning and regulations. **MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Work toward the effective implementation of AVSI’s mission—to empower individuals facing vulnerability or humanitarian emergencies as protagonists of their own development, and that of their families and communities; Carry out duties in accordance with the job description, Code of Ethics and Conduct, international humanitarian protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Stay informed about Operation Welcome, its various operational fronts (border, shelters, interiorization), and possess basic knowledge of Brazil’s protection network; Stay informed about services offered at PITRIG and/or within the project’s areas of intervention, in order to respond appropriately to the target population; Ensure daily organization and proper condition of the workspace (adequate furniture, functioning equipment, up-to-date work materials) and maintain cleanliness; Collaborate through dialogue and cooperation with other actors operating onsite (UNICEF, UNHCR, FT Log Hum, Federal Police, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and others); Identify and refer medium- and high-complexity cases (e.g., rights violations, serious medical conditions, unaccompanied or separated children, among others) for individualized or protective interventions; Deliver protection services; Build trust-based relationships with the migrant population, always prioritizing the strengthening of bonds with children and adolescents; Independently prepare and submit reports and plans whenever required by coordination and/or the Protection Officer; Update information in the project’s designated system; Record data in the project’s monitoring tools and actively contribute to the monitoring team in verifying collected data; Actively participate in events such as: targeted interventions, internal trainings for protection and education teams, capacity-building for the local protection network, and others; Support the implementation of preventive activities/interventions—including discussion circles and workshops involving children, adolescents, and their parents or caregivers; Coordinate closely with the local Child and Adolescent Protection Network, respecting previously established communication protocols; Work in alignment with the organizational chart defined for the position; Provide case-related information whenever requested by coordination and/or the Protection Officer; Participate in weekend and holiday on-call shifts, as needed; Other tasks assigned by the program management, as necessary for the implementation of local activities.
