We are expanding and seeking a professional to work as a Thermal Power Plant Operator II, responsible for executing and controlling activities within managed areas, aiming to contribute to achieving the company's proposed goals and ensuring compliance with its directives by providing guidance and information regarding procedures, guaranteeing their efficient execution. **Responsibilities and duties** * Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and standards related to operational areas; * Ensure equipment and systems operation according to Operational Procedures, Operating Instructions, and Managerial Guidelines; * Act to ensure equipment and systems maintenance according to Operational and Maintenance Procedures, Manufacturer Instructions, and Managerial Guidelines; * Validate measurements from contracts managed by the area; * Monitor internal and external audits; * Maintain organization and cleanliness of managed areas according to 5S program guidelines; * Support the preparation of technical specifications and budgets related to the procurement of materials and services within operational areas; * Participate in the process of developing additional and complementary information and studies to meet environmental license requirements; * Prepare and issue periodic reports monitoring executed activities; * Execute commands on control panels, computerized control stations, or local installation sites, on mechanical, chemical, electro-electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems, to ensure electricity generation and transmission to the SIN, as well as restoring generating unit systems after shutdowns caused by protection systems, generation reduction, and/or scheduled shutdowns for maintenance in the Generation and Transmission System, under supervision; * Constantly monitor alarms and fault indications or failures in equipment and installations to identify and immediately perform necessary actions to restore normal operations, promptly informing the immediate supervisor; * Communicate with operational support teams and other operation centers of the generating unit systems to exchange information and receive instructions when necessary, accurately executing control actions according to the generating unit system's needs; * Execute, monitor, verify, and correct, visually confirming the success of command actions on equipment and systems requiring reliable state supervision to prevent equipment damage, ensure employee functional safety at Âmbar Sul Energia, and always seek mitigation of environmental and process impacts; * Conduct routine inspections on equipment and installations to identify possible abnormalities, performing minor maintenance tasks assigned to the Operator, in accordance with Operation and Maintenance Manuals, adopting job rotation; * Perform functional tests on equipment, systems, and auxiliary services, as well as receive, inspect, and release for operation areas or equipment that were under maintenance; * Monitor and perform de-energizing and physical and artificial grounding within the generating unit boundaries to ensure personnel safety during maintenance procedures; * Perform physical lockout and control device isolation at computerized control stations or within the generating unit’s system areas, defining, signaling, and physically releasing areas or equipment for maintenance; * Enforce compliance with technical safety standards during service execution in generating unit system areas by in-house maintenance teams or contracted companies, aiming to protect personnel physical integrity; * Record incidents of shutdowns, maneuvers, and adjustments in the generating unit systems, equipment and installation abnormalities, activated alarms and protections, in logbooks and/or supporting software, enabling information sharing with other unit operators, operational support teams, system operation center, and post-operation teams; * Control and supervise characteristic parameters of the generation and transmission system to ensure transmitted power quality, equipment integrity, and personnel safety, always seeking mitigation of environmental and process impacts; * Receive and unload chemical products, coal, quicklime, industrial waste, industrial gases, fuel oils, and perform necessary records according to operational procedures; * Monitor input logistics chains and inventory control, optimizing consumption; * Perform activities in process and input analysis laboratories, always seeking mitigation of environmental and process impacts; * Conduct oversight of contracts related to the macroprocess; * Assist in the development and updating of procedures and instructions for the macroprocess; * Monitor technical reports related to input quality indicators and processes for the macroprocess; * Identify, propose improvements, and report anomalies for the macroprocess; * Control the representativeness of process sampling systems, mitigating parameter deviations and optimizing input consumption; * Perform other activities related to those described above, as established by applicable legislation regulating the profession, at the discretion of the immediate supervisor; * Perform other related activities as determined by the immediate supervisor. **Requirements and qualifications** * Completed high school.
