GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of this position is to provide occasional services according to the needs of the service post. To monitor premises, public and private areas in order to prevent, control and combat irregularities. To ensure the safety of people, property, and compliance with laws and regulations. To receive and control the movement of people in open and restricted access areas. To inspect people, cargo and property, escort people and goods. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES: This position has the same responsibilities as a security guard; however, it is called with advance notice and has 24 hours to respond whether accepting or not the job. Report events occurring during the surveillance period to immediate supervision. Control the movement and presence of people, vehicles and material assets as a security measure, proceeding with identification and registration when required. Conduct systematic patrols and inspections of company premises to prevent fires, thefts, unauthorized entries and other abnormalities. Record incidents and actions taken during the shift, writing in the incident log to inform the immediate supervisor and allow decisions to correct identified irregularities. Perform systematic inspections and rounds throughout the service post facilities, preventing situations that may jeopardize the integrity of the building, equipment, and the safety of staff and users. Occasionally, if requested, perform basic cleaning of weapons used at the service post. The position does not require employee supervision.
