The Data and AI team is responsible for design, deliver, and evolve technology solutions to improve data usage and drive long\-term business results. **This role in summary** ------------------------ The Data Engineer Lead oversees and guides the Data Engineering team, ensuring high\-quality, efficient delivery of data solutions. This role is responsible for onboarding and supporting team members, promoting reference architectures, reviewing code, and approving deployments. The Lead drives productivity improvements, coordinates with other technical teams and vendors, ensures knowledge transfer and adherence to governance and architecture standards, supports Data Platform automation initiatives, and acts as an escalation point for critical incidents. **Your responsibilities will include** -------------------------------------- * Onboards and Supports new members of Data Engineering Team; * Promotes the use of Reference Architectures for Data Engineering; * Review codes and Approves deployment of Data Integrations; * Measures and Improves Productivity and Efficiency of the Data Engineers; * Coordinates Data Engineering needs with other Vendors (OS Team, SAP Team, etc); * Ensures Data Integrations KT sessions are being delivered to Support Team \& Data Governance \& Architecture standards are being followed; * Supports Data Platform Analyst on building / tests of Data Platform enhancements; * Provides guidance for the Support Team to solve critical incidents (as an escalation point). **Minimum requirements** ------------------------ * Extensive experience in Data Engineering and leading engineering teams. * Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data platforms. * Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages. * Experience with code review processes and deployment approval. * Understanding of data architecture, governance, and DevSecOps practices. * Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including vendors and cross\-functional teams. * Proven track record in measuring and improving team productivity. **Preferred skills and experiences** ------------------------------------ * Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). * Familiarity with reference architectures and data product design. * Knowledge of SAP and enterprise data systems. * Strong mentoring, coaching, and onboarding capabilities. * Experience delivering knowledge transfer and training sessions. * Familiarity with data security, compliance, and governance frameworks. * Strong communication skills for technical and non\-technical stakeholders.
