Focus on sensory, motor, cognitive, emotional, and social experiences **Details** We are seeking an **Early Childhood Development Assistant** who is committed, patient, and passionate about working with young children in early childhood. The professional will collaborate with educators to support children's holistic development, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment. **Responsibilities** * Assist teachers. * Facilitate rich childhood experiences from sensory, motor, cognitive, emotional, and social perspectives. * Support children during meals according to their age and needs, accompanying them during meals and promoting their autonomy. * Support age-appropriate sleep routines. * Assist during meal times: breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner. Distribute educational materials. * Accompany children to the restroom and support their hygiene habits. * Assist with children’s arrival and departure, together with the Coordinator or Director. * Participate in children’s adaptation process, with the teacher addressing their individual needs. * Organize, sanitize, guide, and supervise appropriate use of space, materials, and toys. * Ensure children’s safety and remain attentive to their needs. * Collaborate with the teacher and Coordinator in general planning: * Attend pedagogical meetings, training sessions, planning sessions, school unit events, and related activities. * Participate in and remain integrated within all experiences developed by the teacher and classroom team, both inside and outside the classroom. * Become familiar with, understand, and implement the Early Childhood Education proposal. **Work Environment** In Early Childhood Education Centers (CEIs), the pedagogical project—developed in partnership with the Carlos Chagas Foundation and the Girassol Institute for Early Childhood Education and Research—is based on the pedagogy of “Caring for / Educating Young Children”, meaning providing space, time, and materials that allow children to play, sleep, move, express thoughts and feelings, and gain autonomy.
