Job Summary: The Supply Chain Specialist leads strategic projects, manages a team, and optimizes procurement processes to ensure effective service delivery and compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Manage import processes and create purchase orders The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for leading strategic projects and complex analyses that drive continuous improvement of departmental processes, ensuring effective fulfillment of internal and external organizational demands. This professional will serve as a key partner in procurement initiatives, providing direct support to Category Managers and Directors in executing category-specific strategies. In addition to leading a team of two people (Operational Procurement), the Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for both operational and strategic activities, including resolving supplier-related issues, performance analysis, and creating domestic and international purchase orders—ensuring optimal commercial terms and compliance with applicable Incoterms. The position may manage one or more categories. **Key Activities and Responsibilities** * Define and implement local and regional strategies for assigned categories. * Lead and develop the direct team, ensuring performance, alignment with processes, and technical development. * Provide process improvement analyses and support to the corporate sourcing team, including dashboard development, internal reporting, and optimization studies. * Support resolution of accounts payable topics, ensuring smooth procurement cycle execution. * Monitor and update local, regional, and global KPIs, ensuring accuracy and consistency of metrics. * Prepare price variance reports and analyses, delivering insights for decision-making. * Manage and update contracts in SAP and COUPA (where applicable), ensuring compliance and document integrity. * Train and guide Avient employees on procurement processes and sourcing tool usage. * Manage import processes, ensuring full mastery of the workflow and associated cost calculations. * Create domestic and international purchase orders, negotiating optimal commercial terms and correctly applying Incoterms. * Contribute to adherence to the Code of Ethics, internal regulations, policies, and all health, safety, environmental, product safety, and responsible care systems and responsibilities. * Immediately report any deviations from company standards. * Prior experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/International Trade. * Chemical industry – preferred area of operation. * Languages: Advanced Spanish and English * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or related fields. Postgraduate degree in Procurement, Logistics, or related areas. * Position based in Pinheiros (SP) or Jundiaí. * Knowledge of: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel / Tableau / Power BI (desirable), SAP, COUPA, import cost analysis and preparation, supplier quality assurance, indicator analysis, negotiation skills.
