Opportunity for those seeking teamwork and dedication **Job Description:** ***Warehouse Assistant*** **Position Summary:** A Warehouse Assistant supports supermarket operations behind the scenes and plays a vital role in maintaining continuous product flow—from goods arrival in inventory through to restocking sales areas. Ensures products are stored correctly and ready for use or sale, emphasizing organization, safety, and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Receiving and Inspection:** Unload trucks, verify delivery notes against received items, inspect for damages, and organize incoming cargo. * **Storage and Organization:** Store merchandise in appropriate locations (shelves, picking areas, cold rooms), keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe. * **Picking and Dispatch:** Select items for store departments or dispatch, pack and prepare loads for internal transport, using stretch wrap when required. * **Restocking:** Transport products from inventory to supermarket shelves. * **Inventory Control:** Assist with inventories, stock counts, and audits, as well as record movements in systems (if applicable). * **Equipment Handling:** Operate pallet jacks, stackers, and other material handling equipment. **Requirements:** * Completed elementary education (high school diploma is a plus). * Good physical stamina for manual and repetitive tasks. * Organizational skills, attention to detail, and efficiency. * Ability to work in a team and follow instructions. * Basic computer and inventory system knowledge (desirable). * Prior experience in warehousing or logistics (a plus). **Desired Skills:** * Proactivity, dedication, and accountability. * Effective communication for interaction with colleagues and supervisors. * Focus on safety and product preservation.
