Active contribution to the evolution of architectures and software engineering best practices **Java Software Architecture (AI)** ===================================== TOTVS | Assis - SP | Hybrid Job Description Serve as the team’s technical reference, leading and supporting the modeling of specialist solutions for the Agribusiness segment, as well as the development and evolution of software, data, and AI implementation solutions—ensuring technical quality, architectural sustainability, and continuous delivery of business value. Act as the liaison between the Agribusiness segment and TOTVS’s IDeIA team, as well as facilitate integration and alignment with the Framework and Engineering teams, supporting technical discussions to advance architecture, tools, and AI usage within TOTVS. Responsibilities and Duties * Technical reference for the development team, supporting decisions regarding design, architecture, and implementation; * Hands-on involvement in developing complex solutions, maintaining close proximity to code and real product challenges; * Translate functional and non-functional requirements into viable technical solutions, evaluating alternatives and selecting the most appropriate technologies; * Actively contribute to the evolution of application, data, and integration architectures; * Ensure adoption of software engineering best practices, such as automated testing, version control, code review, documentation, and continuous integration; * Support the construction and evolution of data pipelines, asynchronous integrations, and solutions connecting to AI models where applicable; * Serve as the team’s technical reference point, promoting mentoring, knowledge sharing, and advancement of technical maturity; * Participate in technical discussions with Product, Data, and partner areas, supporting tactical and operational decisions; * Identify opportunities for technical improvement and propose solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and product quality; * Create or evolve reusable components, standards, and frameworks/platforms when necessary to accelerate development; * Support technical backlog prioritization by flagging risks, dependencies, and architectural impacts; * Contribute to the evolution of engineering processes aligned with the department’s short- and medium-term objectives; * Ensure team goals are met by influencing practices, task prioritization, and continuously improving technical quality; Requirements and Qualifications * Modern software architecture, cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven; * Proven experience with AI and LLMs—including API usage, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI integration into applications; * Patterns such as RAG, fine-tuning, and intelligent agents; * Optimization of costs and latency in AI-powered applications; * Experience with the Java and Spring Boot development stack, acting as a Software Architect; * Version control with Git / GitFlow and/or Azure DevOps; * Design Patterns, Clean Code, and software engineering principles; * DevOps: CI, CD, Git, GitFlow, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code; * REST APIs and API-First best practices; * Security in development and DevSecOps practices; * Messaging systems, RabbitMQ or equivalents; * 8+ years of software development experience, including roles as technical reference, architect, or technical team lead.
