**Job Summary**
*Official Role: Mechanical Fitter*: Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps and industrial equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, component replacement, minor welding (when required), final assembly, functional testing, and painting—ensuring proper operation, reliability, and compliance with technical specifications.
**Main Responsibilities**
Disassemble pumps and mechanical equipment for corrective maintenance
Perform technical cleaning, blasting, and part preparation for inspection and repair
Inspect components to identify wear, damage, and need for repair or replacement
Carry out mechanical adjustments, alignments, clearances, and fittings per specifications
Replace components such as bearings, seals, bushings, shafts, mechanical seals, packing, and other related parts
Assemble and conduct functional tests on pumps after maintenance
Perform welding services when required for component repair
Use dimensional measurement and control instruments
Follow technical procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace
**Requirements**
Completed high school education
Technical training and/or proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role
Knowledge of assembly and disassembly of industrial pumps
Basic welding knowledge (MIG, stick electrode, TIG)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
**Preferred Qualifications**
Experience in maintenance of pumps and other rotating equipment
Work experience in industrial maintenance companies or service-providing firms
Technical or vocational training in mechanical fields
Experience with welding (MIG, stick electrode, TIG)
**Working Hours**
Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 1 hour 12 minute break
