Description: * Requirements: * Completed Technical Nursing Course; * Active COREN/RS license; * Experience in caring for critical patients is a plus. * Knowledge of the functioning, organization, and physical structure of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU); * Deliver nursing care grounded in bioethics and humanization toward patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team; * Perform specific nursing care and procedures for pre- and post-operative, neurological, cardiac, polytrauma, and intubated patients; * Assist nurses and physicians in performing procedures by monitoring the process; * Provide comprehensive intensive care to patients from admission through discharge from the unit, maintaining a systemic view of the patient; * Contribute to improving the patient’s clinical condition through medications, nursing interventions, and implementation of medical and nursing prescriptions; * Read, interpret, prepare, and administer medications per medical prescription, as well as provide hygiene and comfort to patients; * Accompany and transport low- and high-complexity patients for internal procedures and examinations, as well as intra-hospital transfers; * Deliver care aligned with international patient safety goals; * Replace sterilized materials in the Central Sterile Supply Department (CME); * Assemble and replenish the Code Blue (PCR) cart and Intubation Box; * Schedule and verify medications in the patient’s medical record; * Use unit supplies, equipment, and medications rationally and appropriately, reporting to the nurse when replenishment is needed; * Accompany physicians and nurses during procedures; * Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, promptly notifying the nurse of any abnormalities; * Record and maintain up-to-date patient documentation in the medical record, verifying administered medications, debiting patient expenses, documenting clinical progress in the medical record and MV system; * Inform patients and their families about the care being provided and guide them toward self-care whenever possible; * Collect, label, and forward clinical specimens to the laboratory per prescription; * Perform medium-complexity technical procedures such as simple dressings, removal of catheters and drains, suture removal, per medical prescription; * Operate, monitor functionality of, and maintain cleanliness of equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, electrocardiogram machines, pulse oximeters, etc.); * Identify and package patients’ personal belongings, deliver them to family members with signed acknowledgment; if no family is present, route items to the Patient Service Center (SAC) or Nursing Supervision Room; * Help minimize care errors by documenting adverse events in the electronic Epidemiology and Risk Management Service (SEGER) system for subsequent training; * Accurately complete the operating room supply sheet, listing all consumed materials; * Comply with, and ensure compliance with, departmental and institutional protocols, routines (POTs), and standards applicable to one’s scope of practice; * Participate in area-specific training and capacity-building activities with a mindset of continuous learning; * Knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions; * Wear hospital-provided uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to SESMT (Specialized Service in Safety, Engineering, and Occupational Medicine) accident prevention guidelines; * Comply with NR 32 regulatory standards (Occupational Safety and Health in Health Services), using hospital-provided PPE and following SESMT accident prevention rules. 251214020220295356
