Job Summary: We are seeking a Deckhand to perform maintenance, cleaning, and essential seamanship tasks required in the vessel’s daily operations, in compliance with the Chief Officer’s instructions. Job Mission: Carry out seamanship tasks required in the vessel’s daily operations as directed by the Chief Officer and/or Deck Foreman. Perform general maintenance and cleaning, as well as assigned manual labor services. **Responsibilities and Duties** Assist in inspection and maintenance of lifesaving equipment. * * Maintain the vessel’s seafaring appearance. * Paint all equipment and interior/exterior surfaces as instructed by the Supervisor. * Remove waste, debris, and accumulated residues from decks, stairways, compartments, and other vessel areas, and dispose of them appropriately. * Sweep and wash decks, bulkheads, and structures using brooms, mops, floor cloths, brushes, high-pressure water hoses, and compressed air. * Be part of the SOPEP team and manage accumulated waste; take all necessary actions to prevent slips, trips, and marine pollution. * Keep hand tools in good condition, properly maintained and stored when not in use.
