The main objective is to ensure that machinery is always ready for use, guaranteeing equipment reliability, especially during planting and harvesting seasons, preventing breakdowns that could delay field operations. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** **1\. Maintenance Organization and Planning** \- Develop a general preventive maintenance schedule, categorized by equipment type, farm sector, and crop season; * Adjust the maintenance plan according to operational changes (e.g., equipment transfers between sectors or unexpected field issues); * Monitor machine usage through hour meters, mileage, and daily checklists; * Quickly reschedule maintenance when unforeseen events occur, communicating changes to relevant departments. **2\. Technical Team Coordination and Support** * Assign service orders to mechanics, managing deadlines and priorities; * Monitor service progress and update the status of each order in the system or spreadsheet; * Ensure mechanics have access to the necessary **spare parts, tools, and PPE** before starting work; * Assist in organizing routines across different workshops or maintenance areas on the farm. **3\. Control of PCM Spare Parts and Basic Materials** * Manage spare parts inventory, categorized by equipment type (harvester, sprayer, etc.); * Conduct periodic inventories and keep the parts database updated (including codes, suppliers, machine compatibility); * Collaborate with the purchasing department to **prevent shortages of critical items**, especially during planting and harvesting periods. **4\. Record Keeping and Performance Indicators Management** * Update the maintenance system (or spreadsheets) with: Equipment maintenance history; Downtime hours due to failures; Costs per service type or machine; Frequency of part replacements and recurring failures; * Generate monthly reports for farm managers, including data-driven suggestions (e.g., machines experiencing excessive downtime or frequently failing components). **5\. Communication with Other Departments** * Act as the liaison between maintenance and: Machine operators (to receive requests, feedback, and failure alerts); Field supervisors (to coordinate machine downtimes without disrupting crop schedules); HR and occupational safety (in cases of accidents or compliance-related matters). **6\. Support During Inspections and Audits** * Maintain organized records of service orders, checklists, external maintenance receipts, and technical reports; * Help ensure compliance with legal requirements and certification standards. * Actively participate in the Internal Rural Occupational Accident Prevention Week (SIPATR), in accordance with regulatory norms applicable to the agricultural sector. * Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to departmental activities. * Collaborate with other field team members and follow immediate supervisor's instructions to ensure efficiency and quality of Hervalense's operations. * Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors. * Safeguard company assets, preserving equipment, furniture, and other resources provided by Hervalense.
