Below is a description of the duties: - Assist in food production and distribution according to menus; prepare and serve snacks for the cafeteria and events; - Ensure quality and security of information in all activities. - Confirm and execute daily menus for salads, desserts, breads, and cakes; - Assist the cook in preparing daily menus; - Place orders for foodstuffs and supplies according to the menu using the order spreadsheet in the cook’s absence; - Perform pre-preparation for the next shift; - Collect samples of prepared foods and record food distribution temperatures; - Notify the nutrition assistant and/or coordinator when any foodstuff is missing; - Label homemade preparations and/or foods handled in the kitchen; - Label products removed from original packaging with opening date, expiration date, and batch number; - Complete the temperature control spreadsheet and enter data into the System; - Complete the sample control and meal control spreadsheets; - Set up and restock the cafeteria during meal hours; - Prepare, distribute, and collect event snacks; - Maintain the kitchen and associated areas organized and hygienic; - Carry out the cleaning schedule according to date and item to be cleaned; - Perform other related tasks as described above, according to activity flow and under the guidance of the department leader. Job Requirements: - Completed elementary education; - Culinary knowledge and practical experience in dish preparation (desirable); - Pastry knowledge (desirable); - Flexible availability.
