Promote innovation in the field of health The Principal Biomedical Professional is responsible for coordinating and supervising activities related to the field of Biomedicine, ensuring quality and efficiency of processes. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading teams, developing strategies, and promoting innovation in the field of health. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Control records generated by laboratory activities (work map, protocol, requisition, etc.) * Separate in-house and outsourced samples, labeling them * Submit registrations to the Support Lab * Separate samples for the serum bank, respecting the ideal temperature to ensure sample stability * Perform quality control before processing routine samples according to established frequency * Process test analyses according to established ITs (Instructional Technical documents) * Verify received samples prior to sectoral distribution, including outsourcing * Control records generated by laboratory activities (work map, protocol, requisition, etc.) * Verify and release results in the SIL (Laboratory Information System) and on the internet * Issue mandatory notifications for test results when applicable * Notify physicians or patients regarding critical test results * Receive results from the Support Lab * Send results to physicians and clients * Deliver reports and close cases in the SIL * Provide explanations regarding results to clients requesting assistance with interpretation SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Handle and register private test requests or requisitions * Guide clients using information retrieved from the Support Lab's website * Deliver ICC (Instructions for Client Collection) to clients, ensuring proper preparation for self-collection and/or the test * Manage financial transactions (collection of test fees) * Identify and record registration errors using a specific form * Issue collection confirmation receipts indicating delivery timelines * Perform sample collection * Receive samples collected by clients * Identify samples (collected or received), preparing them for transport while ensuring preservation and stability * Verify the quality of supplies used during collection * Remind clients of result delivery deadlines COMPLEMENTARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Not applicable.
