Below are the job responsibilities: + Assist in meal production and distribution according to menus; prepare and serve snacks for the cafeteria and events; + Ensure quality and safety of information in all activities. Responsibilities + Confirm and execute daily menus for salads, desserts, breads, and cakes; + Assist the cook in preparing daily menus; + Place orders for food items and supplies according to menu using order spreadsheet in the cook's absence; + Perform pre-preparation for the next shift; + Collect samples of prepared dishes and record temperatures of distributed food; + Notify the nutrition assistant and/or coordinator when any food item is missing; + Label prepared dishes and/or handled foods in the kitchen; + Label products removed from original packaging with opening date, expiration date, and batch number; + Fill out temperature control spreadsheet and input data into the system; + Complete sample control and meal control spreadsheets; + Set up and restock the cafeteria during meal times; + Prepare, distribute, and collect snacks for events; + Keep the kitchen and associated areas organized and sanitized; + Carry out cleaning schedules according to assigned dates and items to be cleaned; + Perform other related tasks as described above according to workflow, under guidance from the department coordinator. Job Requirements: + Completed elementary education; + Culinary knowledge and experience in dish preparation desirable; + Baking knowledge desirable; + Flexible availability.
