Receiver Akai AA-1150, a rare gem in this condition and maintenance level! The following maintenance services have been performed: 1) Cleaning of internal circuit boards and components; 2) Cleaning of switches and potentiometers; 3) Adjustment of the quiescent current (or BIAS current): a crucial adjustment in amplifiers that sets the current flowing through the output transistors when there is no audio signal. The goal is to prevent distortions ("crossover distortion") that occur when the signal is near zero and to keep the transistors slightly conductive; 4) Adjustment of OFFSET voltage: Output offset adjustment in amplifiers is a procedure to nullify residual DC voltage at the output, using a trimmer potentiometer to correct imbalances in the differential transistor pair. This adjustment ensures pure sound without distortion and optimizes amplifier performance, performed with the amplifier powered on but without speaker load, measuring the output voltage with a multimeter; 5) Inspection of all electrolytic capacitors in the unit using CAPACHECK and replacement of those with high ESR (internal resistance, which causes energy dissipation and heating); 6) Verification and testing of all inputs and outputs (RCA connectors and speaker terminals); 7) Replacement of rubber feet and application of felt pads; 8) Cleaning of front and rear panels, knobs, and switches; 9) Cabinet in perfect structural and aesthetic condition; 10) Replacement of all incandescent lighting with high-intensity LEDs for the dial, preserving the equipment's original appearance.
