The Gradiente Receiver Model 1260 combines above-average sound quality with robust construction. It offers connections for turntable (Phono), AM/FM, tape deck, auxiliary input, and headphone output. It also has the ability to power other electrical outlets. This unit is in beautiful condition and has been completely serviced! THE SOUND IS EXTREMELY CLEAR, WITHOUT NOISE OR DISTORTION!!! The following maintenance procedures were performed: 1) Internal circuit boards and components cleaned; 2) Switches and potentiometers cleaned; 3) Adjustment of idle current (or BIAS current): a crucial amplifier adjustment that sets the current flowing through the output transistors when no audio signal is present. The goal is to prevent distortions ("crossover distortion") occurring near zero signal and to keep the transistors slightly conducting; 4) Adjustment of output DC offset voltage (0 Vdc): Offset adjustment ensures that the amplifier's output voltage is as close as possible to zero volts (0V DC) when no audio signal (AC signal) is applied to the input. A significant DC voltage at the output (e.g., above 100 mV) can force the speaker cone into a permanent extreme position, causing unnecessary power consumption, overheating, and eventually damaging the speaker over time; 5) Verification of all electrolytic capacitors using CAPACHECK and replacement of those with high ESR (internal resistance, which causes energy dissipation and heating); 6) Inspection and testing of all inputs and outputs (RCA connectors and speaker terminals); 7) Cleaning of front and rear panels, knobs, and switches; 8) Replacement of all incandescent dial lighting with high-intensity LEDs, preserving the equipment's original appearance.
