Job Summary: This professional will support engineers in operational and analytical activities on construction sites, with a focus on budgeting, planning, and data organization. Key Highlights: 1. Close collaboration with engineers, enhancing productivity. **Position Objective** Directly support the site engineer/project manager in executing operational and analytical tasks, especially in budgeting, planning, quotations, and data organization—freeing the engineer to focus on strategic and field management activities. **Main Responsibilities** * Preparation of construction budget spreadsheets * Support in developing tender proposals * Quantity take-offs (basic level) * Conducting quotations with suppliers **Development and updating of:** * Cost spreadsheets; * Price compositions; * Support in construction planning (basic schedule). **Organization of databases for:** * Consumption data * Suppliers * Historical costs * Standardization of budget templates Support in process improvement (digitalization) Requirements: **Mandatory Technical Requirements (Operational Version)** * Excel – intermediate/advanced level (CRITICAL). **Must know how to:** * Build structured budget spreadsheets. **Must be able to create:** * Pivot tables; * Well-organized input databases, **Must be able to perform:** * Scenario simulations (cost, margin); * Data consolidation. **This is the primary technical criterion for the role:** * Basic understanding of construction budgeting (mandatory – entry-level). **Must understand:** * Cost structure; * Materials; * Labor; * Equipment. **Must know what:** * Cost composition is; * BDI is (even conceptually); * The logic behind price formation. **Need not be an expert, but must grasp the underlying reasoning** **Quotations and supplier relationship** **Must be capable of:** * Requesting and comparing quotations; * Organizing received proposals; * Creating and maintaining an updated price database; * Negotiating (basic level) **Support for proposals and tenders:** * Preparing budget spreadsheets for proposals; * Organizing technical data; * Supporting the engineer in consolidating proposals. **Tech-savviness (mandatory)** **Must be proficient in using:** * Excel (strongly) and Word; * Ability to quickly learn new systems; * AI tools (significant advantage); * Here lies one of your greatest differentiators to explore. **Ideal Education (Technical Degree in):** * Building Construction (primary) or Civil Construction * Or ongoing undergraduate degree (Civil Engineering) **Behavioral Competencies:** * Hands-on, execution-oriented profile * Logical/analytical thinking * Organization * Agility * Curiosity about technology * Low resistance to learning * Strong communication skills (will interact with suppliers) **Job Context:** * Professional will work side-by-side with the engineer * A fundamental role for: **Productivity gains** * Company structuring; * Environment still relatively unstructured; * Strong growth potential.
