Job Summary: We are seeking an Engineering Manager – Software Development to lead teams, drive technical excellence, and ensure scalability and security in our solutions. Key Highlights: 1. We are looking for an Engineering Manager – Software Development to lead our engineering teams, including Tech Leads and Specialist Developers. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring our solutions are built with extremely high scalability, availability, quality, and security, while also serving as a technical mentor to continuously elevate development and security standards. Responsibilities: * Lead and develop teams of Tech Leads, Specialist Developers, and other engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional growth. * Define, in partnership with Architects and Product, the technological and architectural strategy for product evolution, including migration of legacy systems to new platforms and microservices. * Ensure deep backend technical expertise in the design, development, and maintenance of critical systems, especially in Node.js and other modern languages (Java, .NET Core, Go, Python). * Demonstrate and implement best development practices (clean code, design patterns, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines), acting as a technical mentor for Tech Leads and Specialists. * Lead high-scalability and high-availability projects and initiatives, ensuring application resilience and reliability. * Support the definition and tracking of engineering goals and OKRs with Product and other departments to consolidate unified results communication (jointly defining what constitutes value). * Implement cost management and operational efficiency best practices in software solutions. * Facilitate collaboration among business, product, technology, and infrastructure/cybersecurity teams, ensuring strategic alignment. * Lead software-related security incidents, coordinating rapid response and corrective actions in partnership with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams. * Identify and mitigate technical risks, coordinating contingency plans and continuous improvement efforts in partnership with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Production Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum of 15 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record as a developer (with relevant case studies and outcomes), including at least 5 years in technical team leadership roles. * Solid backend experience (Node.js as primary language; experience with other modern languages such as Java, .NET Core, Go, Python is desirable). * Experience with both legacy and new products, driving architectural transitions (monoliths to microservices, modernization). * Mandatory experience with highly scalable and highly available products in domains requiring maximum attention and reliability (fintech, iGaming, e-commerce, telecom, etc.). * Proven leadership history with Tech Leads and Specialist Developers, acting as a technical mentor to elevate development standards and processes. * Experience managing software security incidents, collaborating with infrastructure/cybersecurity teams for prevention and response. * Proficiency in agile methodologies and integration with DevOps/SRE practices for continuous delivery. * Executive-level communication, negotiation, and influence capabilities across all hierarchical levels. * Advanced English (spoken and written), capable of operating effectively in global, multicultural environments. * Knowledge of engineering team cultural and technical transformation. Desirable Qualifications (Nice to Have) * MBA or postgraduate degree in Technology Management or related fields. * Certifications or specialized courses in software development and/or software architecture. * Prior experience as an Engineering Manager in game development companies (Unity, Unreal Engine), leading technical teams on digital entertainment products. * Experience in engineering governance and technology portfolio management. * Experience with observability, performance, and resilience strategies at global scale.
