Senior Data Analyst
We are looking for a **Senior Data Analyst** to work within the business area of a major bank, supporting analysis routines, data maintenance, process improvement, and indicator evolution. We seek someone with strong analytical ability, business acumen, and hands-on experience in BI, SQL, and data manipulation in high-volume environments. **Project** ----------- The selected professional will work in a business area with high information flow and significant impact on internal operations. Responsibilities include queries, updates, analyses, and maintenance of operational indicators, as well as supporting improvements to existing processes. Key deliverables involve continuous use of **Power BI, Excel, SQL (intermediate/advanced queries)**, and daily data manipulation in **Databricks**. Autonomy is expected to identify inconsistencies, propose adjustments, and ensure the reliability of data used by the area. **Project Size** ---------------------- Work takes place in a structured area with recurring demands and direct dependency on data for decision-making. The role requires organization, critical thinking, and rigor regarding information quality, consistency, and governance. **Team Size** --------------------- The Senior Data Analyst will join an established team, working closely with analysts, managers, and stakeholders from related areas. In addition to maintaining routine tasks, they will serve as a technical reference to support alignment, validate information, and suggest improvements. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Update, validate, and evolve reports and indicators used by the business area; * Perform data queries and manipulation in Databricks; * Execute intermediate/advanced SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and cross-referencing of information; * Ensure consistency, quality, and integrity of databases; * Maintain and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports; * Identify opportunities to improve existing routines and suggest adjustments; * Support internal stakeholders with on-demand analyses and data interpretation; * Serve as a technical reference for questions regarding logic, data, and indicator structuring. **Accountabilities** --------------- * Corrective and evolutionary maintenance of reports and dashboards (Power BI); * Review of business rules and data quality validations; * Execution of more complex SQL queries (multiple joins, simple window functions, advanced filters); * Organization and filtering of data in Databricks for recurring use; * Development of ad-hoc analyses for area managers; * Documentation of routines, processes, and applied logic. **Requirements (Tools and Skills)** ------------------------------------------ * Solid experience with **Power BI** (maintenance, basic/intermediate DAX, simple modeling); * Intermediate/advanced Excel; * Intermediate/advanced SQL (queries, joins, aggregations, advanced filters); * Experience with **Databricks** (manipulation, queries, extractions); * Proven experience maintaining and evolving reports; * Communication, organizational, and alignment skills with business teams; * Autonomy to identify inconsistencies and resolve issues without constant supervision. **Nice-to-Haves** ---------------- * Prior experience in banks or financial institutions; * Experience with simple automation (Power Automate, basic scripts, etc.); * Familiarity with cloud-based data environments; * Knowledge of data governance best practices. **MJV Benefits:** TotalPass\\Wellhub; ‍‍‍‍ Group life insurance; Meal voucher / Food allowance; Health and dental plan \- Bradesco; Training initiatives: lectures, forums, knowledge exchanges, and discussions related to our business.
