Description
The Mechanical Assistant will assist in the maintenance of machines, engines, and equipment. Transport necessary equipment and tools for the job. Perform cleaning and preservation of parts, tools, equipment, and the workplace where the service will be carried out.
Job Description:
* Assist in the inspection and repair of mechanical systems in vehicles, heavy machinery, pumps, and electromechanical devices, as per received instructions;
* Assist in bodywork and painting tasks for machine and vehicle bodies; replace damaged parts and components of cars, trucks, and heavy machinery, as per received instructions;
* Assist in tire calibration when necessary by inflating or deflating them with compressed air to maintain them within predetermined specifications;
* Replace damaged or worn tires by removing the wheel from the vehicle using appropriate tools;
* Repair various types of tires and inner tubes by mending and retreading damaged or worn areas using appropriate equipment to restore their usability;
* Check oil level and viscosity in engine crankcase, transmission, differential, and other oil reservoirs to perform top-up or replacement if necessary;
* Clean the workplace and store tools in designated locations;
* Maintain and preserve equipment used on the job, reporting any irregularities immediately to the direct supervisor.
