About the Position We are seeking a Senior Enologist to lead the production area at Thera Winery, ensuring technical and sensory excellence in wines and sparkling wines. **This professional will be responsible for all stages of the production process, from vinification to bottling,** ensuring quality, innovation, and compliance with good manufacturing practices. Main Responsibilities * Plan, supervise, and coordinate all stages of the winemaking and sparkling wine production processes. * Conduct oenological analyses of musts and wines in the laboratory, monitoring physicochemical and sensory parameters. * Manage and operate production and bottling equipment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and traceability. * Supervise the winery team, delegate tasks, provide training, and ensure a collaborative and productive environment. * Control inventory of oenological inputs, ensuring material quality and proper usage. * Comply with and enforce safety, hygiene, sustainability standards, and current legislation. * Contribute to the technical and sensory development of products, supporting innovation and continuous improvement of Thera wines. Requirements and Qualifications * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Oenology, Viticulture and Oenology, or related fields (Agricultural Engineering, Chemistry, Biology with specialization in Oenology). * Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in fine wine and/or sparkling wine production. * Technical Knowledge: * – Winemaking and sparkling wine production processes (traditional method and/or charmat); * – Operation of winery equipment and bottling lines; * – Laboratory oenological analyses and interpretation of results; * – Quality control and sensory analysis; * – Proficiency in Office Suite and familiarity with production management systems (ERP is a plus).
