BBR - PROCESS OPERATOR I

Description

Job Summary: Responsible for operating and monitoring processes in crushing, grinding, CIL/CIP/leaching/detox, elution, filtration, wastewater treatment plant (ETE), and water treatment plant (ETA), ensuring task execution and interfacing with other departments. Key Highlights: 1. Operation and monitoring of various industrial processes 2. Interface with operators and other mine departments 3. Focus on KPIs, cost control, production, and safety Job Responsibilities: Crushing: • Interface with Mine Operators (crushing feed, blended feed, stockyard disposition); • Operation of all equipment (hopper, vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, belt conveyor, scrap extractor, metal detector, emergency switches, tear switches, speed sensor, scale, and other equipment); • Report to Operator III for decision-making, proactively identifying potential issues related to ore shortage, jamming, overload, energy isolation; crusher calibration; Grinding: • Field operation and monitoring of mill feed and discharge; full responsibility for the grinding area; • Collect samples at mill feed and discharge; perform scale drop tests; support roller replacement; clean load cell filters of scales; • Operate and monitor gravity circuit (gravity concentrators, basket cleaning, inspection, water filter cleaning, area inspection); • Conduct equipment inspections including pumps, screens, cyclones, and mills; • Clean the area manually using hand tools (shovel, hoe, wheelbarrow); • Clear obstructions from ore transfer chutes; • Operate hydrocycloning (flow rate, pressure, liner replacement, apex and vortex inspection, inspection and sampling); • Operate Acacia reactor (intensive leaching); support cartridge (filter element) replacements; collect samples; perform transfers; • Prepare reagents; • Inspect vibrating screens and linear screens (screen and module replacement, unclogging water sprays); CIL/CIP/LEACHING/DETOX: • Sample collection (pulp density, pH, oxygenation, carbon profile, soluble gold sample, cyanide titration); • Carbon handling and carbon production; • Start-up and shutdown of agitators and pumps; • Tank draining; • Clean containment basin; • Clean and inspect inter-stage screens; • Clean carbon production and safety screens; replace screens and modules; • Inspect pumps, adjust gland packing, start up and shut down pumps; • Operate TAC – Cyanide Analyzer and dosage control; • Handle chemical products; • Prepare reagents; • Control pH; • Work with lifting operations, high-pressure water jetting, overhead cranes, NR35, NR33, NR12, NR06, NR22; • Knowledge and training in CIC (International Cyanide Code); • Interface with all departments and Control Room; Elution: • Control temperature, pressure, flow rate, and time; • Clean and replace heat exchangers and strainers; • Operate boiler; • Operate and collect samples (control of electrolysis inlet and outlet – electrolytic cells); • Control and operate acid washing; • Titrate samples (cyanide, soda ash, hydrochloric acid); • Interface with all departments – transfer of enriched and exhausted carbon; • Clean and organize work area (5S); • Support maintenance during equipment shutdowns; • Focus on all KPIs (cost control, production, safety indicators); • Operate pumps, start-up and shutdown; Filtration: • Filtration operation; • Thickener operation (torque control, rack, density, reagent dosing); • Pump operation control, start-up and shutdown; • Moisture content control; • Direct interface with all departments (ensuring UF operation); • Hand over equipment to maintenance according to scheduled shutdowns; • Support maintenance and shutdowns, including corrective ones; ETE and ETA: Operate entire water reuse system; Control water inflow and outflow; Ensure all treatment stages are functioning properly; Requirements: • Completed elementary education; • Residency in Currais Novos\- RN; • Availability to work rotating shifts.
