SENAI arrived in Goiás in 1952 with the construction of the pioneering Escola Senai GO 1 (now Faculdade de Tecnologia Senai Roberto Mange) in Anápolis. When established, subordinate to the Regional Delegation of São Paulo, Escola Senai GO 1 offered only courses in machining, mechanical turning, blacksmithing, electricity, and carpentry.
