The Brazilian Air Force has commenced operations with the Gripen E/F at the Anápolis Air Base, where Saab’s Gripen Support Group Anápolis (GSGA) is also fully operational. We are seeking individuals who wish to drive and further develop the operation over the coming years. Your role You will work as an expatriate on-site in Anápolis, Brazil. You will join a team comprising the site manager, aircraft technicians, planners, logistics specialists, and others to perform maintenance and modifications on the Brazilian Air Force’s Gripen E/F aircraft. Here, you will have the opportunity to work broadly within a small organization where collaboration and mutual support are essential to supporting the Brazilian Air Force in its Gripen E/F operations. Your base of operations will be Anápolis, though activities may occasionally take place in other parts of the country — offering you an adventure that creates lifelong memories! Expatriate assignments typically last two years, although both shorter and longer durations may be possible. Preparations for the assignment begin as soon as recruitment is complete. The formal employment and assignment in Brazil will commence sometime during mid-2026. This period will be preceded by competence development, social preparation, and on-site visits to the country and to GSGA. You will be part of a team consisting of colleagues from both Saab and our partners in Brazil. We are currently recruiting several aircraft technicians for maintenance and modifications of aircraft. Your profile Having a qualification for the Gripen C/D or E is considered advantageous. Prior experience from various types of overseas deployments and international assignments is also advantageous. As a person, you are solution-oriented, responsible, driven, accustomed to taking initiative independently, and experienced in teamwork. As an expatriate, we particularly value flexibility, strong collaboration skills, excellent communication skills, tolerance for ambiguity and differences, and curiosity about people and new environments.
