Forklift Operator

Description

We are seeking a professional to work as a Forklift Operator, responsible for the handling, loading, unloading, and storage of finished products, ensuring organization, safety, and agility in logistics operations. The professional will be responsible for operating forklifts and other motorized equipment, provided they are duly certified, performing cargo transportation during warehousing and shipping processes. They must also conduct daily inspections of the equipment before starting operations, checking the instrument panel, possible leaks, looseness, irregularities in the mast and forks, as well as verifying the overall operational condition of the machine. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Prepare cargo handling by visually inspecting materials to be moved, verifying contents, weight, and volume; select appropriate securing accessories when necessary; and plan the sequence of movement; * Move cargo to fulfill stock replenishment tasks in warehouse areas as indicated by the system, as well as store and move products from the receiving staging area to the warehouse, and move pallets from the warehouse to the shipping staging area according to tasks generated by the system; * Verify scheduling, load within the equipment's capacity, control speed during operation, monitor equipment performance throughout the process, and verify products awaiting processing in sorting, receiving, and shipping areas; * Prepare the site for operations by inspecting the cargo movement and storage area, removing potential obstacles, demarcating the operational zone, and loading vehicles with the assistance of the forklift while complying with safety regulations; * Assist in organizing and maintaining picking / contract manufacturing and/or pallet storage areas, as well as organizing pallets in aisles, checking alignment and signs of product damage; * Support cyclic inventory counting activities, as well as contribute to monthly full inventory counts; * Assist in equipment maintenance by checking equipment condition before operation and monitoring the instrument panel to identify leaks, looseness, and irregularities in the mast and forks, as well as verifying cleanliness, mechanical controls, water, oil, and fuel levels, requesting maintenance when necessary; * Ensure proper functioning of material handling equipment by observing its performance and requesting repairs and maintenance to guarantee efficiency in warehousing tasks; * Request maintenance services when needed, and assist in preventive and corrective mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance through cleaning, minor repairs, and battery refueling or replacement, following company-defined and equipment manufacturer safety rules, etc.; * Actively participate in quality, service, and environmental improvement programs by complying with internal and occupational safety regulations; * Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization, and preserve tools and equipment by keeping them organized and clean for reuse when necessary, adhering to standards and procedures, as well as contributing to cleaning and organizing warehouse locations and one's own work area; * Safeguard equipment, resources, and materials under one's responsibility, as well as the work environment, and comply with regulations, procedures, internal policies, corporate policies, and occupational health and safety regulations; * Comply with internal regulations, quality management system requirements, and occupational health, hygiene, and safety regulations inherent to the sector, as well as use PPE/PCE (Personal Protective Equipment / Collective Protective Equipment) when required by the activity. * Perform other duties inherent to the position or as directed by the immediate supervisor, provided the individual is qualified and such duties align with their knowledge and experience; * Perform all or part of the above-described duties continuously, intermittently, or on an ad-hoc basis, and be qualified to substitute for and perform all duties associated with positions directly below in the organizational structure. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed High School * Forklift Operator Training Course **Additional Information** ### **Benefits Offered:** Meal Allowance On-site Meal Transportation Allowance and/or Fuel Allowance / Shuttled Transport Unimed Health Plan (co-payment) Dental Plan Pharmacy Plan Life Insurance (free of charge) SEST SENAT Partnership Attendance Bonus We are the company specializing in Cold Chain Logistics Intelligence Solutions for the food industry.
