Productivity enhancement and rejection reduction. **Job Category** ================ Production & Skilled Trades**Position Summary** ==================== The primary mission of this position is to support the production area in identifying and resolving quality-related issues concerning raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, as well as driving cost reduction, improving product quality, increasing productivity, reducing rejections, waste, scrap, and customer complaints.**Responsibilities** ==================== Responsibilities: * Receive raw materials, comparing Technical Specifications with Certificates of Analysis and Quality; perform physical analyses when required; enter data into the SAP system; and issue approval labels when necessary, to identify and release materials to the production process. * Monitor and control mixing processes, pigment weighing, raw material inventory, cement manufacturing process, splice, calendering, dispatch, and climate-controlled room operations per workflow diagrams and Integrated Management System procedures; maintain records of process changes and non-conformities; and resolve problems or escalate to responsible parties as needed. * Collect and analyze samples across the entire production process; verify validity and turnover of raw materials and in-process materials; evaluate results against specified limits; and intervene in the process when necessary to maintain production quality and proactively address potential issues. * Monitor the process, collect data, and prepare technical reports to fulfill requests from immediate supervisors—such as work orders, test requests, test development, supplier or raw material development, among others. * Evaluate and identify segregated materials, ensure proper product disposition, and reuse materials where feasible to control and minimize waste and scrap when necessary. * Perform equipment calibration and cleaning according to procedures; analyze standard samples and interventions; and statistically monitor results to report or arrange equipment repairs when required. * Maintain and apply statistical techniques for process monitoring, including tracking Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, and support other departments in utilizing these data for process analysis—ensuring product and process compliance and meeting customer capability requirements. * Understand process documents such as Integrated Management Procedures (PGIs), provide relevant information, and supply requested documentation upon demand to fully satisfy stakeholder needs. * Collaborate with the Integrated Management team to implement 5S. * Keep the workplace clean and organized, and ensure proper maintenance of used equipment to preserve optimal operating condition. * Understand the company’s mission, values, policies, and objectives; comply with established internal standards, instructions, and procedures to ensure quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive healthcare—thereby contributing to people development, process optimization, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. * Participate in and implement corrective actions arising from internal and external audit non-conformities. * Protect the environment by preventing all forms of pollution through compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Corporate legislation, as well as practices, regulations, procedures, and controls under the Integrated Management Process for: Quality; Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment—supporting continuous improvement across all Bandag activities and processes to achieve operational excellence. * Perform other related and inherent duties as directed or requested by the immediate supervisor. **Minimum Qualifications** ========================== Completed Technical High School Education **What We Offer as a Company** At Bridgestone, what truly matters is generating co-creation opportunities while stimulating your curiosity and creativity to make mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable for present and future generations.
