Reporting to the Software Development Coordinator, the Data Scientist II role involves... Some day-to-day activities:* Define technical scope and develop technical projects based on occasional guidance of low to medium complexity, as defined by the standards for AI project development instructions, identifying issues for proper project development, proposing technical solution alternatives to ensure consistency with procedures for technology innovation projects. * Implement, under occasional guidance, proposed AI projects, preparing documentation and performing modifications/improvements to existing ones, to ensure delivery within established timelines and costs. * Research and select the most suitable technological resources for the projects to be developed, considering technological characteristics and other factors, to ensure excellence in training according to required quality standards. * Interact with internal FIT project partners and external partners during the development of the proposed project, gathering information and/or providing requested technical support. * Provide technical support to other areas of the company as needed, in hardware, software, hardware/software integration, and dedicated expert systems, aiming to enable project development. * Recommend and/or apply techniques and methodologies related to project quality, seeking continuous improvements. * Act as a knowledge multiplier, providing technical support to peers. The experience we are looking to add to our team:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Master's or PhD in AI or related area is desirable. * AI ethics. * Programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, PyTorch, Jupyter Notebook. * Web technologies such as CSS, web services, JavaScript, and similar web technologies. * Concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (new algorithms, tools, publications, etc). * Analysis and engineering of large datasets (SQL/noSQL, Tableau, KPIs, Metrics). * Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Understanding of design for security, scalability, performance, and availability of AI models. * Working in a fast-paced, agile development environment (Project Management - Agile methodologies). * Advanced/Fluent English. * Network security and infrastructure (MLOps and DeepOps). * Processes of data preparation, modeling, simulation, testing, and application development. * Probability and statistics. * Ability to reuse existing AI models on cloud platforms such as Azure, Google, Amazon. * Knowledge in AI projects with tabular data, image analysis. * Implementation of AI projects in industrial environments using data and M2M correlations. * Implement AI projects using data extracted from operational platforms. Desirable* Concepts and application of large language models (LLM), prompt engineering, RAG, and integration with APIs. * Frameworks and libraries for agents, Langchain, LangGraph, Langsmith, Pydantic. * Experience with Generative AI models. * Experience with MLOps and LLMOps tools and processes.
