The professional will work end-to-end—from solution conception (optics, image acquisition, and processing) through integration with PLCs, SCADA systems, and digital platforms—ensuring robustness and reliability in factory environments. The role involves working on multiple simultaneous projects with varying technological maturity levels, ranging from proof-of-concept to production deployment. **Education** Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related fields. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and integrate computer vision systems into industrial lines and processes * Define automation architecture including image acquisition, processing, and decision-making * Integrate vision systems with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems * Implement inspection, classification, tracking, and quality validation logic * Design optical solutions (cameras, lenses, lighting, and positioning) * Synchronize vision data with process variables and industrial systems * Work with distributed architectures (edge \+ cloud) for processing and analytics * Conduct laboratory testing and industrial environment validations * Perform field commissioning and adjustments * Prepare technical documentation (architecture, tests, reports, and evidence) * Interface with clients and multidisciplinary teams **Technical Qualifications** * Industrial Automation (core) * PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, or similar) * HMIs and SCADA systems * ISA-95 / Purdue Model architecture * Integration with MES systems and historians * Industrial protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT) **Computer Vision Systems (Specialization)** * Python and OpenCV * AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or ONNX) * Detection and classification models (e.g., YOLO, CNNs) * OCR/OCV and quality inspection * Dataset concepts (collection, labeling, and validation) * Optics and Image Acquisition * Selection of industrial cameras * Lenses (FOV, DOF, distortion, exposure) * Industrial lighting (backlight, coaxial, diffuse, etc.) * Physical integration in industrial environments **Connected Systems** * Integration with IIoT platforms * Edge computing * Basic knowledge of cloud (AWS/Azure) * Synchronization of process and inspection data **Experience** * Proven experience in industrial automation involving vision systems * Participation in significant quality inspection or control projects * Hands-on experience in industrial environment deployment and operation
