Properly store ingredients, verifying expiration dates and storage conditions. Perform food pre-preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, and seasoning meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and utensils, adhering to food hygiene and safety standards. Control portion sizes and quality of prepared items to ensure standardization. Follow occupational safety and food handling regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist in kitchen inventory control, requesting restocking of supplies when necessary. Collaborate with the kitchen team and other departments to ensure efficiency and productivity. Document incidents and report issues related to food preparation or storage. Contribute to the supermarket’s food quality, hygiene, and safety standards. Previous experience as Head Chef, Kitchen Assistant, Production Cook, or Industrial Cook may indicate suitability for some of the responsibilities of this position. High school diploma completed.
