Job Summary: The Junior Firmware Development Analyst will support the development, implementation, and validation of firmware for high-tech embedded systems, focusing on efficient hardware-software integration. Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical teams The Junior Firmware Development Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and validation of firmware for high-tech embedded equipment, working on low-level solutions under guidance, contributing to efficient hardware-software integration, as well as supporting embedded system stability and performance. * Implement firmware features and fixes for microcontrollers and embedded processors under guidance. * Primarily program in C/C\+\+ (Assembly when necessary and with team support) for real-time applications. * Support implementation/maintenance of drivers and communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet), following team standards. * Support bootloader and BSP development and debugging, performing assigned tasks and documenting evidence. * Support firmware integration with hardware, sensors, and peripherals by conducting basic tests and bench checklists. * Execute communication/protocol testing and report anomalies, contributing to device interoperability. * Support creation and execution of test plans (functional and performance), following technical lead’s guidance. * Perform unit and integration testing, and support field testing when applicable, collecting logs and evidence. * Identify, log, and support bug resolution; contribute to targeted optimizations under supervision. * Produce and update basic, traceable technical documentation (build instructions, version notes, simple diagrams, test reports). * Follow applicable quality guidelines and regulatory requirements, with team support. * Support the team in interfacing with suppliers (information gathering, datasheets, samples) and assist in initial validation of procured components. * Participate in technical ceremonies, absorb best practices, and share learnings; mentoring is not expected at this level. (In the appendix, mentoring responsibilities are characteristic of the Senior role.) * Work collaboratively with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to support full system integration. * Attend project meetings for technical alignment, document decisions, and raise questions/risks early. * Support technical research (new platforms/tools) and targeted prototyping, following technical leadership direction.
