Responsibilities ; Prepare metal surfaces for painting by removing impurities and rust. Apply primers and sealants to ensure adhesion and anti-corrosive protection. Operate air spray guns to apply paints and coatings uniformly. Control application parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and distance to optimize finish quality. Inspect paint quality, identifying and correcting defects such as runs and bubbles. Perform preventive maintenance on painting equipment, including cleaning and adjustments. Requirements ; High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as an air spray painter. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including degreasing and phosphating. Proficiency in liquid and powder coating application methods. Familiarity with various paint types, such as epoxy, polyurethane, and acrylic. Ability to read and interpret paint technical data sheets and safety standards. Skills ; Proficiency in using dry film thickness (DFT) measurement instruments. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to paint application. Attention to detail and aesthetic sense to ensure high-quality finishes. Ability to work safely, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following environmental regulations. Organization and cleanliness in the workplace.
