**SQL/ETL Software Developer - Data** **Employment type:** CLT + Benefits **Location:** Remote or Hybrid in Curitiba/PR **Job description:** We are looking for a Developer with strong data expertise to work in a hybrid role bridging software engineering and data engineering. This person will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our DBT models, ensuring our applications correctly populate the data warehouse (Metabase), and monitoring whether all data is consistently and reliably updated. They will also optimize databases—adjusting indexes, analyzing performance, and improving queries—as well as structure migrations for databases currently lacking version history, establishing a retrospective foundation to ensure governance and traceability. Day-to-day responsibilities include investigating inconsistencies, adjusting data flows, monitoring jobs, and supporting teams that rely on data for decision-making. Another key responsibility is designing and maintaining backup plans, data recovery procedures, and Disaster Recovery routines to ensure data security and availability. We seek someone hands-on, with solid SQL proficiency and data modeling practices, experience with tools such as DBT, and knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), along with strong organizational skills, curiosity, and attention to data quality. Essential qualifications: ● Solid experience with SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization (indexes, query plans, tuning). ● Experience with analytical orchestration/modeling tools (e.g., DBT). ● Experience with visualization tools (Metabase knowledge is a plus). ● Practical knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL is a strong advantage). ● Experience with version control, migrations, and database governance best practices. ● Familiarity with data-oriented architecture, security, and backup & recovery practices. Preferred qualifications: ● Experience working in regulated environments or with high-volume data. ● Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect). ● Experience with monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, logs, alerts). ● Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
