The **Ramp Assistant** will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft with safety, quality, and punctuality, ensuring process efficiency and contributing to customers' perception of the company’s services regarding baggage and cargo transportation and flight punctuality. Assist in aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when required. **This position is exclusively for the Manaus Airport (MAO)!** ------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Verify and monitor baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Customer Manual or dnata’s MGO; * Sort baggage and cargo volumes in airport sorting areas by reading identification labels (with or without technological assistance), ensuring loading onto storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for the correct flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following standards and procedures outlined in the MGO, including special handling recommendations (fragile, dangerous, live animals, perishable items); * Unload baggage and cargo by reading volume identification labels and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Segregate baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate inter-flight connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and supervise baggage and cargo packaging to verify compliance with transport requirements, ensuring flight and handler safety; * Correctly handle and allocate baggage and cargo into aircraft holds, observing internal retention and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Perform equipment marshalling during coupling procedures with aircraft to prevent fuselage collisions; * Service aircraft within established timeframes for each service type and airport classification; * Conduct checklists on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report equipment requiring repair to the GSE Technical maintenance team; * Report any equipment irregularities during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability in assessing situations; * Stress resistance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, articulation of upper and lower limbs, bipedal posture for performing tasks, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area.
