VIA BRASIL BR-163 - TRAFFIC OPERATOR I
Perform operational activities related to Traffic Inspection along the section where assigned, by operating light operational vehicles, ensuring road fluidity and safety, road surface conditions, right-of-way, signage, and ongoing construction works, as well as providing support and response to accidents, incidents, emergency assistance, and user services, among other duties, under direct supervision and in compliance with the company’s quality standards, procedures, and regulations.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Operate light operational vehicles with a focus on service delivery and appropriate application of safety procedures. May also support other activities by operating vehicles of different sizes, provided duly licensed and according to level of knowledge and experience.
* Conduct inspection of the assigned section, verifying road conditions, shoulders, access points, interchanges, bridges, vertical and horizontal signage, and right-of-way.
* Ensure operational vehicle readiness under one’s responsibility through vehicle inspection, vehicle checklist, and specifications defined by the company.
* Respond to various roadway incidents by coordinating with CCO (Operational Control Center) teams, identifying vehicles and/or cargo outside regulatory specifications, conducting inspections, detecting anomalies along the section, roadway, right-of-way, and potential risks to road safety and fluidity.
* Respond to roadway incidents by deploying emergency safety signage for response teams and users, performing traffic containment operations, directing traffic flow, removing objects from the travel lane, and/or executing pothole repairs.
* Capture photographic records of incidents/accidents and necessary information about involved users to feed databases, enabling trace evidence analysis and root cause identification without compromising roadway fluidity.
* Must immediately inform immediate supervisor upon identifying an imminent and severe risk to one’s own life or health, or that of others.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* High school diploma preferred;
* Valid driver’s license category **B** or **D**;
* Availability to work on a 12x36 shift schedule.

**Via Brasil BR-163 is the concessionaire responsible for the 1,009-kilometer stretch of BR-163 highway between Sinop (MT) and the Port of Miritituba (PA).**
It is the first federal concession in Brazil’s North Region, with a 10-year term.
The contract was signed in April 2022 and represents a segment of major economic importance, linking Mato Grosso to ports in Pará.
Currently under construction, the highway will enter operation by the end of this year, representing a significant opportunity for new hires.
