The **Reliability Mechanical Engineer** is responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of mechanical assets in high-sanitary-demand production environments, guaranteeing reliability, food safety, and operational continuity. This role involves developing preventive and predictive strategies, reducing losses, optimizing processes, and providing technical support to maintenance and operations teams. We are seeking a professional to work at our facility located in Orindiúva/SP.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, criticality analysis) applied to food industry production lines.
* Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) focused on preventing mechanical failures that could impact food safety, quality, or productivity.
* Monitor asset performance (MTBF, MTTR, availability, mechanical OEE, lifecycle costs) and propose continuous improvement actions.
* Review and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance plans, focusing on typical food industry equipment such as: centrifuges, evaporators, mixers, conveyors, packaging and filling systems; critical utilities (compressed air, steam, industrial refrigeration).
* Ensure compliance with sanitary and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000\), integrating reliability practices into audit requirements.
* Support the execution of mechanical engineering projects and design improvements focused on hygiene, cleanability, CIP/SIP, and reduction of cross-contamination risk.
* Lead analyses of chronic failures and mechanical losses impacting waste, rework, or downtime.
* Collaborate closely with Quality, Food Safety, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
* Support implementation of condition monitoring and digitalization technologies (IoT sensors, online vibration, thermography, oil analysis).
* Participate in evaluations of new equipment and modifications, ensuring mechanical robustness and maintainability.
**Technical Requirements**
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Solid experience in industrial reliability, preferably in the food industry or in high-sanitary-demand industries (beverages, dairy, biotechnology, ingredients).
* Proficiency in: RCM, FMEA, RCA, criticality analysis.
* Predictive techniques: vibration, thermography, ultrasonics, oil analysis, applied lubrication.
* CMMS systems (SAP).
* Food safety standards and good manufacturing practices.
* Knowledge of typical food processing equipment and industrial utilities.
