**Senior Automation and Artificial Intelligence Engineer \| Power Platform \| Azure \| Fluent English** The Senior Automation and Artificial Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence for a regulated organization headquartered in the UK, operating across healthcare, care services, real estate, and corporate services. This is a hands-on role with a strong delivery focus. Business areas retain responsibility for defining processes, governance, compliance, and quality assurance. The Lead Engineer translates approved requirements into secure, auditable, and production-ready automation and AI agents. This is an individual contributor senior role, operating as a sole engineer supported by business stakeholders and governance leaders. **Key Responsibilities** **Automation & AI Delivery** * Design, develop, and maintain automation and AI agent solutions aligned with approved business processes * Develop solutions using: * Microsoft Power BI Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio) * Azure services (including Azure OpenAI, where applicable) * APIs and system integrations * Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using approved data sources (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics) * Ensure AI solutions function as assistive tools, with ‘human-in-the-loop’ controls where required **Technical Accountability** * Be accountable for the technical architecture of automation and AI solutions * Ensure solutions are: * Secure * Scalable * Maintainable * Auditable * Maintain version control for automations, prompts, and integrations * Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and rollback mechanisms **Operational Excellence** * Diagnose and resolve technical failures * Optimize performance and reliability * Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation * Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-deployment adjustments **Collaboration** * Collaborate closely with: * Business product owners * Process owners * Information governance and data protection teams * Other internal and external stakeholders * Translate approved requirements into technical solutions * Provide realistic delivery estimates and technical guidance **Requirements and Experience** **Essential** * Senior-level experience as an automation engineer, software engineer, or similar role * Strong hands-on experience with: * Microsoft Power BI Platform * Workflow automation * API-based integrations * Solid programming skills (Python, TypeScript or similar) * Experience developing or operating AI-powered systems (chatbots, agents, document automation) * Excellent knowledge of: * Identity and access management * Secure system architecture * Data boundaries and permissions * Ability to work independently and deliver end-to-end solutions * Excellent written and verbal communication (**English mandatory**) **Highly Desirable** * Experience with Azure, OpenAI, or other LLM platforms * Experience with RAG architectures * Familiarity with Dynamics 365, SharePoint, HR or financial systems * Experience in regulated data environments * Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD practices **Personal Attributes** * Highly autonomous and disciplined profile * Comfortable operating as a sole senior engineer delivering end-to-end projects * Pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset * High attention to detail * Strong understanding of security, control, and auditability * Ability to work with stakeholders based in the UK **Success Criteria** Success will be measured by: * Delivery of stable, production-ready automations and AI agents * Reduction of manual effort in approved processes * Low post-deployment failure rate * Clear and comprehensive technical documentation * Positive feedback from product owners * Zero unauthorized AI deployments Job Type: Full-time, Freelance / PJ Compensation: R$13\.000,00 \- R$17\.000,00 per month Education: * Bachelor’s degree (Mandatory) Language: * English (Mandatory) Work Location: Remote
