The **Cloud Engineering** team at **Asaas** is looking for a professional experienced in cloud solution architecture and building complex, high-quality systems to assume a pivotal role in evolving our infrastructure. You will design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures, applying best practices and architectural standards to ensure technical excellence and the best possible experience for our customers. This opportunity is open for **remote/home office** work. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures, applying standards and best practices from the AWS Well-Architected Framework; * Evaluate architectural trade-offs considering cost, performance, security, reliability, and operational excellence; * Create and maintain architecture diagrams (C4, AWS Architecture Icons) and detailed technical documentation; * Conduct design reviews and architecture analyses with development teams; * Implement and evolve cloud infrastructure focused on scalability, resilience, security, and cost optimization; * Define reusable infrastructure standards and frameworks to accelerate team delivery; * Automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting, eliminating manual processes; * Ensure high availability and service performance by implementing disaster recovery and backup strategies; * Plan and monitor service capacity and performance, optimizing cloud resource consumption; * Implement and maintain observability solutions (logs, metrics, traces) to ensure full infrastructure visibility; * Actively collaborate with development, product, and architecture teams, serving as a technical reference for cloud solutions; * Develop and implement code following our internal quality standards, maintainability requirements, and recommended practices; * Perform code reviews and contribute technically to platform and product architecture; * Identify and implement continuous improvements in processes, architecture, and operations; * Participate in the assessment and resolution of critical incidents, performing root cause analyses; * Promote and disseminate the culture of cloud architecture excellence and best practices in Cloud Engineering; * Evaluate new AWS technologies and services, proposing adoption where appropriate. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Experience designing and implementing **cloud architectures** (AWS); * In-depth experience and knowledge of **AWS services** and their use cases (Compute, Storage, Database, Networking, Security); * Knowledge of the AWS **Well-Architected Framework** and its 6 pillars; * Experience in designing highly available, multi-AZ, and multi-region **architectures**; * Knowledge of **cloud-native** architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, serverless); * Knowledge of **Serverless** and **event-driven** architectures (AWS Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Step Functions); * Experience with Infrastructure as Code **(IaC)** (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation); * Experience with **containers** (Docker) and **container orchestration** (ECS, Kubernetes); * Solid knowledge of **networking** and **connectivity** (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, security groups, NACLs); * Experience designing storage solutions (**S3, EBS, EFS, FSx**) and backup/DR strategies; * Proficiency in **Linux** systems (Ubuntu), their tools, and **scripting** (Shell script, Bash, Python); * Experience with **CI/CD** (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins); * Familiarity with **API** development and **microservices** architectures; * Experience administering and optimizing **relational databases** (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS, Aurora); * Experience with **monitoring** and **observability** tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch);
