




Description: Apply quickly via email: Requirements and qualifications: We are looking for someone with approximately 3 years of experience in system support and maintenance, who is familiar with web development, server monitoring, log analysis, user support, and bug fixing. Interest in automation, good documentation practices, and contributing to open technologies focused on social justice is highly welcome. We use PostgreSQL databases and our systems run on AWS clusters using Docker. Most of our software is developed in JavaScript, React, and GraphQL. We also use Python and Django across various backend components. If you don’t yet master some of these technologies, that’s okay. What matters most to us is your willingness to learn and collaborate. Desirable: * Approximately 3 years of experience in web development, system support, and maintenance. * Experience with development best practices (e.g., coding standards, validations, performance, and data modeling). * Interest or ability in automating tasks and processes. * Curiosity about networks, protocols, availability, and system architecture. * Experience with JavaScript and/or Python (in personal, academic, or professional projects) and eagerness to deepen knowledge of web languages. * Familiarity with or interest in learning container orchestration (e.g., Docker Swarm, Rancher, or AWS ECS). * Prior exposure to AWS services or other cloud platforms. * Basic knowledge of testing (unit and integration tests) and willingness to write tests with team support. * Experience with version control using Git and GitHub (even if basic). * Interest in or experience with microservices architecture (even if you’ve only worked with monolithic systems so far). * Continuous learning mindset and interest in staying up-to-date with emerging technologies. It would be great if you also had: * Some experience or curiosity about Django and React—even if self-taught or through academic or personal projects. * Knowledge of or interest in system administration (e.g., Linux, scripting, permissions, networking, services, etc.). * Prior involvement in documenting projects, systems, or processes—and even better if you’ve contributed to open-source projects. * Interest in politics, social justice, or experience with activism. * Engagement (past or present) with third-sector organizations, collectives, community or student groups, or any initiative aimed at social impact. Responsibilities and duties: * Technical Support: Resolving technical issues related to the BONDE web platform. * Web Development: Implementing platform improvements, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance. * Monitoring: Monitoring systems and networks to identify and resolve issues before they cause disruptions. * Ticket Management: Logging, tracking, and resolving support tickets via ticketing systems or other channels. * Training: Conducting user training sessions on platform usage. * Documentation: Creating technical documentation—including manuals and usage guides—as well as maintaining records of issues and solutions. Work schedule: This is a remote position, offering autonomy to organize your working hours. It is important to be available for previously scheduled alignment meetings during business hours (between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.).
