The Pharmacist AT assists in medication dispensing, counsels patients, verifies medical prescriptions, and manages pharmaceutical inventory under supervision, ensuring quality and safety in patient care.

The Pharmacist AT is responsible for assisting in medication dispensing, advising patients on correct usage, verifying medical prescriptions, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and performing other pharmacy-related tasks using the official forms issued by the Regional Council of Pharmacy (CRF). This professional works under the supervision and guidance of a Senior Pharmacist or Technical Responsible Pharmacist, contributing to quality and safety in patient care.
* Assist in medication dispensing in accordance with pharmacy standards and procedures;
* Assist in providing resources and conditions enabling the entire team to comply with current sanitary legislation, including regulations governing substances subject to special control regimes;
* Assist the Technical Responsible Pharmacist (RT) in the quality management system, which ensures all required documentation for business operations (e.g., verification of expiration dates and validity of Operating Licenses);
* Assist in planning and executing all pharmaceutical activities carried out in the pharmacy;
* Assist in ensuring compliance with Good Dispensing and Compounding Practices;
* Be responsible for the management system that maintains medications in optimal storage conditions;
* Develop the Good Dispensing Practices Manual;
* Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
* Develop the Health Services Waste Management Plan (PGRSS);
* Counsel patients on the correct administration and use of prescribed medications;
* Verify medical prescriptions, checking prescription accuracy and correct medication dispensing;
* Perform medication inventory control, verifying product expiry dates and organization;
* Participate in training and capacity-building programs to enhance pharmaceutical knowledge;
* Collaborate in maintaining workplace organization and cleanliness;
* Serve and counsel customers, clarifying doubts and delivering high-quality service;
* Perform necessary records and documentation for controlling medications and pharmaceutical products;
* Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention by advising on preventive measures;
* Follow established safety and biosafety protocols for handling medications;
* Assist in monthly SOP training, customer service training, and medication-related training for the entire team, including management;
* Verify that SOPs are available and easily accessible;
* Assist in coordinating the development of objective and target plans for departmental activities;
* Contribute to implementing procedures aimed at providing pharmaceutical care;
* Inspect workplace cleanliness in accordance with sanitary regulations;
* Verify that products are stored correctly to preserve quality and physicochemical properties;
* Monitor ambient and refrigerator temperatures for thermolabile medications;
* Ensure maintenance of the expired-item removal system;
* Assist in supervising and guiding the procurement process for medications and other pharmacy products;
* Establish criteria to meet medication demand efficiently—ensuring quality, quantity, and cost-effectiveness—avoiding both surplus and shortages;
* Assist in guaranteeing product supply;
* Contribute to implementing internal pharmacy operational policies and procedures;
* Receive goods.
* Assist in registering all controlled medications and antibiotics into and out of the National System for Controlled Products (SNGPC);
* Assist in maintaining records—electronic or otherwise—for products subject to special control;
* Participate in pharmacovigilance studies based on analysis of adverse reactions and drug interactions, reporting findings to the local sanitary authority;
* Control and prevent losses of such medications;
* Apply the FIFO (First-Expired, First-Out) technique;
* Receive customers and foster interaction between them and the company;
* Translate prescriptions and provide clarifications regarding product usage, dosage, and adverse reactions;
* Perform medication interchangeability (allow substitution between reference and corresponding generic medications, and vice versa);
