The Data Engineer will apply SQL and Python expertise to execute high-quality projects and tasks with a high degree of accuracy and within established deadlines. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES** * Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and scripts using agreed-upon standards and tools, ensuring well-structured outcomes. * Ensure data quality and implement tools and frameworks to automate identification of data quality issues. * Perform data source profiling and develop ETL processes, applying foundational data modeling knowledge using SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT supporting tools. * Support management in creating estimates and proposals for clients. * Plan effective solutions for data storage, security, sharing, and publishing within the organization. * Create and update documentation for data workflows and business rules. * Keep existing data pipelines up-to-date and process large volumes of data as required. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. * 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Warehousing. * Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines. * Proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries. * Proficiency in Python and various Python libraries. * Strong analytical ability, with skill in understanding and communicating the meaning of presented data. * Excellent mathematical, statistical, and logical skills. * Excellent reasoning ability. * Enthusiastic, highly motivated profile with ability to learn quickly. * Experience building ETL workflows in Databricks. * Understanding of Apache Spark. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** * 3–5 years of experience in automotive operations or similar businesses (dynamic environment). * Experience building cloud-based data solutions on Azure or AWS, and migrating on-premise environments to the cloud. * Prior experience serving external clients. * Familiarity with MS SQL Server administration. * Experience with GIT repositories. * Experience with FTP and APIs. * Strong communication skills and practical knowledge of agile methodologies, including DevOps concepts. * Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). **OTHER COMPETENCIES AND CHARACTERISTICS** * **Knowledge Retention** – To deliver top-quality work, analysts must learn and retain large amounts of information. * **Attention to Detail** – Analysts must focus on details to identify and isolate problems. * **Organizational Skills** – Analysts must be organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. * **Flexibility** – Analysts must handle multiple tasks at once and adapt to shifting priorities. * **Agility** – Analysts must work quickly and efficiently without compromising delivery quality. * **Solution Orientation** – Analysts must identify viable solutions to any challenges they encounter. **LANGUAGE SKILLS** * Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to: * Make calls, attend video conferences, send emails and messages, and communicate with dealerships and colleagues.
