Job Summary: A professional responsible for loading, unloading, and handling merchandise, ensuring warehouse organization and proper handling care. Key Highlights: 1. Merchandise handling and organization 2. Cargo inspection and verification 3. Optimization of loading and unloading processes Perform loading and unloading of merchandise. Move merchandise between unloading and loading terminals following guidelines specific to each type of merchandise, volume, and vehicle. Deliver and collect cargo from end customers. * Verify invoices; * Check cargo weight; * Inspect cargo prior to handling; * Reapply sealing tape to packaging when necessary; * Verify storage conditions and proper cargo packaging; * Check volume identification labels; * Arrange deliveries according to schedule; * Sort cargo by destination; * Verify labels for hazardous goods; * Optimize loading and unloading time; * Advise customers on proper merchandise packaging; * Follow packaging recommendations; * Control stacking limits for boxes; * Request authorization for special cargo loading; * Palletize and wrap merchandise in bulk according to customer requirements; * Maintain warehouse cleanliness and proper organization; * Report defective equipment; * Exercise due care in correct pallet handling to prevent accidents and damage; * Perform other tasks pertinent to the position.
