We hold projects at various stages of the mining lifecycle—from greenfield development through to full-scale operations—and employ over 2,100 professionals nationwide, all committed to our purpose. Currently, we operate three iron ore mines in Minas Gerais: Baratinha and Mongais Mines, part of the Baratinha Complex, and Pedra Branca Mine. Our first iron ore operation, Baratinha Mine in the Vale do Aço region, began operations in 2014 and features a wet processing plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons. Additionally, Bemisa operates a pilot-scale gold project in Água Azul do Norte, Pará, near the Carajás polymetallic district. Developed from the greenfield stage, the project does not use tailings dams for waste disposal and employs predominantly local workers.
