Job Summary: A professional to perform common and precision welding on operational or manufacturing systems, using various welding types and appropriate equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Performs common and precision welding on operational systems. 2. Prepares and executes ER, MIG-MAG, and TIG welding with a focus on perfection. 3. Performs finishing, testing, and maintenance on structures and piping. Perform common and precision welding on operational or manufacturing systems, involving the following welding types: ER – Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), ELECTRIC, THERMO-FUSION, MIG, MAG, and/or TIG, using appropriate equipment, cutting, tacking, and applying proper finishing, paying attention to details and inherent methods, to join, reinforce, or repair parts, supports, piping, structures, or mechanical assemblies; **Responsibilities and Duties** * Examine sketches, drawings, parts, and structures to be welded, verifying specifications and types of welds required (continuous, intermittent, or * staggered), seeking the appropriate methodology based on the material, to organize the work sequence; * Prepare parts by beveling, sanding, cleaning, and correctly positioning them, assembling and adjusting metallic parts to begin electric welding operations; * Select the appropriate electrode, properly regulating amperage and voltage according to EPS1, securely fixing and adjusting the ground wire connector, to carry out precise and safe electric welding; * Prepare ER welding processes, applying techniques suitable for each task (steady torch handling), verifying melting points, seeking mechanisms to neutralize possible defects such as porosity, spatter, and material purity, aiming for perfect fusion; * Prepare MIG-MAG (using wire) and TIG (using filler rod) welding processes, applying techniques suitable for each task (steady torch handling), verifying melting points, * seeking mechanisms to neutralize possible defects such as porosity, spatter, and material purity, aiming for perfect fusion; * Weld designated parts or points, paying attention to technical details, adjusting gas flow appropriately for each welding type, making steady movements along the joint line to achieve perfect results; * Request radiographic inspection of parts to confirm weld fusion, and also conduct intermittent quality inspections to proceed with final finishing; * Perform groove preparation gouging, removing weld metal and base metal from the opposite side of a partially welded joint, to ensure complete weld penetration; * Apply necessary finishing to parts or structures by cleaning, grinding, or sanding them, using brushes at each process stage to prevent damage and ensure required perfection; * Apply necessary finishing to parts or structures by cleaning, grinding, or sanding them, using brushes at each process stage to prevent damage and ensure required perfection; * Perform part, plate, or structure preparation tasks at treatment stations, cutting them appropriately, marking and scribing machining layouts, using torches or other oxy-cutting equipment, to support fabrication or maintenance activities; * Test equipment, piping, or structures, observing functional performance, absence of leaks, part alignment, safety, etc., to guarantee perfect effectiveness of executed work; * Perform heavy maintenance on system structures and piping made of carbon steel or PVC, using torches and heavy-duty equipment to cut, replace parts, sand, glue, seal, weld, and finish, conducting leak tests and other procedures to execute these services according to targeted standards; * Assist in fabricating parts and artifacts used in the system, operating appropriate equipment to manufacture bases, supports, structures, molds, and other needs of operational systems; * Assist in industrial assembly tasks, following instructions and using measuring instruments, water meters, and others, to contribute to installation of system metallic structures; * Participate in diverse operational tasks, performing maintenance, renovations, cable/equipment/material handling, assisting in testing, replacing parts, assembling/disassembling structures, and other demands, thereby contributing team efforts; * Actively participate in emergency operations, complying with procedures per received training, remaining attentive to all operations—including use of safety equipment—to add value to the task force for immediate containment of critical situations; Report material, equipment, and tool requirements to guide procurement or recovery; * Remain vigilant regarding unsafe acts or conditions within internal or third-party teams, reporting and/or taking preventive measures per institutional instructions; * Keep supervisors informed about completed work and encountered difficulties, recommending alternative maintenance solutions to contribute to area work effectiveness; * Comply with policies, procedures, and standards established by the specific management system, using preventive equipment, observing regulatory norms and procedures, * reporting deviations and proposing corrections for unsafe acts, to contribute to implementation and maintenance of normative, legal, and SGI2\-governing provisions. * Participate in internal events / campaigns / training related to SGI; * Perform other tasks of similar nature and complexity, at supervisor's discretion. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Minimum Education**: Completion of 6th grade of Elementary School * **Technical Competencies:** (Knowledge, specializations, qualifications, certifications, registrations) Welder qualification obtained from an accredited institution (SENAI or another related Professional Training Center). TIG, MIG, MAG, and ER qualifications issued by SNQ/END3-accredited bodies for workplaces practicing these welding types. * **Behavioral Profile**: (Skills and attitudes) Promptness, focused attention, interest, agility, initiative, discipline, teamwork spirit, and good interpersonal relationship skills. * **Prior Experience:** (Minimum time in role or related activities) Minimum 2 years of prior experience in tasks related to this position. * **Teams and Hierarchical Reporting**: Reports to the Production or Maintenance Supervisor. * **Specific Conditions:** (Differentiated shifts, adverse conditions, etc.) Works in operational systems, in workshop environments, on shift or standard business hours, possibly extending into overtime. * **Environmental Risks:** (Health and Safety aspects): Environmental and ergonomic risk details will be defined through the PGR – Risk Management Program and the Ergonomic Analysis Report, specific to each workplace and business unit, such as LAI – Aspect and Impact Assessment and LPD – Hazard and Damage Assessment. **Additional Information** * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Gym assistance * Pharmacy assistance * Christmas basket * Life insurance * Meal allowance * Transportation allowance * Profit-sharing program (PLR) #### **Transformation is part of human essence.** #### **Every evolutionary process is driven by change.
