Join Ingredion and help transform safety practices into experiences of care and protection, ensuring every activity is carried out responsibly and confidently within an innovative and collaborative environment. ***Location: Cabo de Santo Agostinho – Pernambuco*** ***Business hours (Monday to Friday) from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*** ***Reports to: EHS Supervisor*** ***Workplace type: On-site*** **As a Junior Occupational Safety Technician, you will be responsible for:** * Supporting risk identification and analysis for each operation at the Cabo facility by conducting on-site technical visits, documenting processes, and reporting identified risks; * Analyzing all risks identified in operations, issuing assessments regarding risk levels (low, medium, high), proposing solutions, documenting alternatives, and presenting them to your immediate supervisor for validation—so appropriate actions can be taken for each operation, whether industrial or administrative; * Assisting in developing occupational safety procedures for each operation, completing work permits for both internal employees and third-party contractors; * Planning and delivering practical and conceptual occupational safety lectures and training sessions to employees across all departments, based on identified risks and legal requirements; * Participating in investigations of any personal, material, or environmental workplace accidents—interviewing involved parties, conducting site visits, monitoring incident handling, and jointly analyzing causes and effects with the area manager, CIPA member, and management; * Participating in the onboarding process for new internal or third-party employees alongside HR, presenting safety rules, preventive measures, sector/activity-specific risks, and options for minimizing impacts and preventing workplace accidents, to ensure compliance with safety regulations; * Monitoring third-party companies and/or performing quantitative analyses of noise, heat, explosion hazards, vapors, etc., evaluating results, and presenting findings to your immediate supervisor for mitigation purposes and subsequent development of the Risk Management Plan (PGR); * Conducting routine safety patrols or audits across all company facilities, as per the routine management plan. * Providing departments with information or documents related to standards, regulations, statistical data, analysis and assessment results, technical and educational support materials, and other resources aimed at accident and disease prevention; * Recommending, requesting, and inspecting fire-fighting equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and collective protective equipment (CPE) in accordance with current legislation, to prevent fines and risks to the company; * Recommending improvements to industrial and/or administrative processes to reduce risks and enhance employees’ quality of life; * Interacting with all employees across industrial and administrative areas, disseminating conduct guidelines focused on occupational safety and environmental protection to foster a culture of remediation/prevention; **Your profile must include these qualifications:** * Completed Technical Degree in Occupational Safety; * Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial setting. * Knowledge of systems (Soc, E social) * Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Internet and web tools, intermediate level **Skills that will set you apart:** * Critical thinking and attention to detail * Strong communication skills and ability to deliver training * Empathy and concern for people: safety is about protecting lives. * Proactivity and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; * Leadership and influence capabilities **Ingredion Benefits:** At Ingredion, we value those who are part of our story.
